Mabee Foundation Challenge
AS WE SPRINT TO THE FINISH LINE, a College Trustee is now matching the next $100,000 in gifts, to help meet the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation’s $700,000 project completion challenge!
The cost of a new Recreation and Wellness Center is $3.5 million. So far, $2,675,000 has been raised. If the Culver-Stockton community can raise another $125,000 by April 9, 2014, the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation of Tulsa, Okla., will donate the remaining $700,000 to complete the project.
Take a Look at C-SC’s New Recreation and Wellness Center:
Why the new center is needed:
This center is for the benefit of all students, non-athletes and athletes alike.
Students enjoy and appreciate a more holistic education and this campus addition will enhance student recruitment and retention.
Core Fitness/Strength Training
The Recreation and Wellness Center will offer a range of strength building options for students to build muscle and keep fit, including free weights, resistance bands and weight machines.
The Recreation and Wellness Center will be equipped with state-of-the-art fitness equipment for cardio exercise, including treadmills, elliptical machines, exercise bicycles and stair steppers.
Once completed, the Recreation and Wellness Center will be equipped with basketball, volleyball and tennis courts and will be the hub for Intramural activities.
Juice Bar/Reception Area
Eating healthy is just as important to overall fitness as exercise is. The new Recreation and Wellness Center will have a juice bar to help students replace vital nutrients lost during exercise.
