CAMPUS SAFETY OFFICER

Culver-Stockton College has an immediate opening for a full time Campus Safety Officer. This is a 12-month position that will have responsibilities in both security and physical plant. Work hours for this position will vary and include shifts on days, nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide 24 hour coverage as needed. During the academic year primary responsibilities will include security work such as securing and opening buildings, conducting investigations, report writing, issuing tickets for policy violations, safety checks, patrols and other assigned duties related to basic maintenance tasks. During the summer months responsibilities will include working with the physical plant on tasks such as mowing, basic landscaping work, trash removal, painting and assisting other physical plant staff with projects.

The candidate must be prepared for physically demanding activities and must be able to spend long periods of time on their feet and traverse all types of terrain in all types of weather. Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs frequently, and to lift and carry weights of up to 75 pounds. Excellent teamwork and people skills are critical due to frequent contact and interaction with faculty, staff, and students. A current driver’s license is required along with computer experience and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Must have a strong ability to communicate effectively by radio or telephone in stressful conditions and prior safety/security experience a plus but is not required.

COORDINATOR OF ADVANCEMENT AND ALUMNI PROGRAMS

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a full-time Coordinator of Advancement and Alumni Programs. The Coordinator of Advancement and Alumni Programs will be responsible for working with both the alumni staff and the advancement staff on projects within the department. The Coordinator of Advancement and Alumni Programs will be responsible for the planning and implementation of programs, projects and events that strategically engage alumni in support of current programs and helping them find ways to provide tangible benefits to students and the College, will participate in planning and executing activities and events related to fundraising campaigns, as well as other duties as necessary to advance the College’s mission and goals.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and will have at least one year of professional office experience, preferably in higher education. In addition, the successful candidate should be highly collaborative in approach, demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills necessary for building relationships with various college constituents, both internal and external. Qualified applicants must have a professional background of meeting established goals and objectives in a timely manner related to the areas of sales, marketing or fundraising. Some evening and weekend commitments will be required as well as the ability and willingness to travel, including overnight, as necessary.

DIRECTOR OF ADMISSION

The Culver-Stockton Admission Office seeks an energetic and dynamic individual to lead our professional team of Admission Counselors and support staff. This full-time, 12-month position is responsible for attracting students to Culver-Stockton College by directing admission strategies and promoting the institution both regionally and nationally. The Admission Director is a member of the President’s Senior Leadership Group, and has a significant role in strategic planning and administrative leadership and guides the Admission staff in ways that align with the College’s vision, mission and strategic initiatives. 

Culver-Stockton is a private, residential College nationally recognized through academics and athletics, located on 140 acres overlooking the Mississippi River. Over 1,050 students from 26 states and 18 countries engage in our distinctive experiential curriculum. As one of two colleges in the nation with a unique 12-week/3 week semester calendar, students have endless opportunities for hands-on experience. Over the past few years the College has surpassed both enrollment and fundraising goals. 

A bachelor’s degree is required with a master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience and recruitment required, preferably in higher education. Successful candidates will have strong organizational and management skills with an established record of leadership and must have unquestioned integrity, self-confidence and creativity. The Admission Director must be able to demonstrate success in managing third party vendors and must have the ability to coordinate multiple deadlines simultaneously. ELECTRONIC SPORTS (Esports) HEAD COACH

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a dynamic and creative professional to lead the esports program. The Esports Head Coach has the primary responsibility of instructing student athletes on esports and also has the responsibility to provide leadership in player development, sportsmanship, integrity and character development. The Esports Head Coach is responsible for the entire operation of the eports program, including, but not limited to, the recruitment of esports players, contest scheduling, practice and contest planning, player skill development, academic monitoring, office/budget management and general oversight of the esports facility as well as other duties necessary to advance the College’s mission and goals.

A Bachelor’s degree is required and/or coaching/playing at an elite level of competition. Previous esports coaching in higher education or similar program development preferred. Must have the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education. Must have PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), PowerPoint, Internet and email. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel occasionally including overnight, evenings and weekends is required.

LANDSCAPE/GROUNDKEEPER

Culver-Stockton College has a full time Landscape/Groundskeeper position open in the Physical Plant. The Landscape/Groundskeeper is responsible to keep a clean and well-maintained campus in order for the College to provide an excellent liberal arts degree opportunity for all students.
