ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Biology. This is a full-time, tenure-track position beginning in Fall 2020. Responsibilities will include teaching a wide variety of general education and undergraduate biology courses, including introductory courses for biology majors as well as upper-level ecology and field biology. Teaching experience and familiarity with educational technology including course management software are preferred. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, committee work and assisting in student recruitment.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF EDUCATION

Culver-Stockton College seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Education position with a scholar committed to the continued development and implementation of experiential learning and educational theory, practice and scholarship. The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education. Responsibilities will include teaching courses in the teacher education program, advising students, supervising student teachers and collaborating in ongoing evolution of innovative undergraduate and graduate programs.  

Qualifications: Educational PhD or EdD degree completed by the time of appointment required, PhD or EdD with an emphasis in Special Education or Secondary Education preferred. A minimum of 5 years public school teaching experience in PK-12 required, experience in Special Education and Secondary Education preferred. Online teaching and experience teaching in undergraduate and graduate education is a plus as the position will require offering courses online and teaching graduate level courses.

Culver-Stockton’s curriculum places an emphasis on experiential, hands-on learning. This experiential curriculum includes an innovative academic calendar that divides the 15-week college semester into a 12-week term during which students take several courses and a 3-week term during which students focus on just one course. Given this unique curriculum, students take advantage of many learning opportunities including immersion classes, research, internships and travel expeditions.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF GRAPHIC DESIGN

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Graphic Design. This is a full-time, tenure-track position beginning in the fall of 2020. Primary responsibilities include developing and teaching all levels of graphic design course offerings, design history, and web/interactive design. Prior teaching experience and a record of professional/creative practice (exhibitions and publications) are strongly desired. Candidates should have exceptional credentials as a graphic designer and possess high energy and a genuine commitment to teaching graphic design and digital media at the college level. Proficiency with the Mac platform and Creative Cloud/Adobe Creative Suite are required. A strong commitment to academic advising is expected.

An MFA in Graphic Design is required. Must have the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education and experiential learning.

ASSISTANT SOFTBALL COACH

Culver-Stockton College is accepting applications for a part-time Assistant Softball Coach. C-SC offers experiential learning with a 12/3 academic calendar which provides an innovative four-year program of studies and experiences that prepares students for career success like no other college or university in the nation. C-SC fields 19 NAIA sports which compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC).

In accordance with all NAIA, Heart of America Athletic Conference and Culver-Stockton College policies and procedures, the position of Assistant Softball Coach reports to the Head Softball Coach and is responsible for assisting in administering the entire operation of the program including (but not limited to) the recruitment of student-athletes, practice and contest planning, participate in player skill development and other duties assigned by the Head Coach.

Candidates should have success coaching or playing softball, preferably at the collegiate level or high school level, the ability to recruit and motivate student-athletes, a strong commitment to academic success as well as compliance with NAIA, Heart of America and institutional policies and procedures. Bachelor’s Degree required.

CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST/CASHIER

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a Customer Service Specialist/Cashier. This is a non-exempt, 12-month position that serves as the initial contact for the Administration and Finance Office providing professional, excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including cashiering, assisting and supporting all areas of the Administration and Finance Office. Responsibilities also include cash handling and managing the student account collection process including but not limited to creating and monitoring A/R aging reports, sending collection letters, calling and emailing delinquent account holders, preparing accounts to be turned over to the collection agency and working directly with collection agencies.

Required qualifications include an associate degree and significant experience in cash handling and customer service. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, email, data entry and use of 10 key calculator; excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to work calmly and stay on task in a fast paced work environment with frequent interruptions. Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and able to meet daily deadlines, as well as have the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in the performance of job duties.

DATABASE AND SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a full-time Database and Systems Administrator. This 12-month position will be responsible for of administration of the Slate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and database support to and from the Jenzabar enterprise information system. The Database and Systems Administrator is responsible for building and maintaining the Slate database tables and keeping the system in sync with the Jenzabar system, as well as other duties necessary to advance the College’s mission and goals.

DIRECTOR OF ADMISSION

The Culver-Stockton Admission Office seeks an energetic and dynamic individual to lead our professional team of Admission Counselors and support staff. This full-time, 12-month position is responsible for attracting students to Culver-Stockton College by directing admission strategies and promoting the institution both regionally and nationally. The Admission Director is a member of the President’s Senior Leadership Group, and has a significant role in strategic planning and administrative leadership and guides the Admission staff in ways that align with the College’s vision, mission and strategic initiatives. 

Culver-Stockton is a private, residential College nationally recognized through academics and athletics, located on 140 acres overlooking the Mississippi River. Over 1,050 students from 26 states and 18 countries engage in our distinctive experiential curriculum. As one of two colleges in the nation with a unique 12-week/3 week semester calendar, students have endless opportunities for hands-on experience. DIRECTOR OF MAJOR GIFTS AND ESTATE GIVING

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri is seeking a full-time Director of Major Gifts and Estate Giving. This 12-month position will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to secure major gifts to meet short-term and long-term goals of the College. The Director of Major Gifts and Estate Giving will assist with the management and expansion of the College’s comprehensive marketing, solicitation and stewardship of major and estate gifts from individuals. Other responsibilities of the Director of Major Gifts and Estate Giving will include the development and implementation of a yearly operating plan to include goal setting, action items, and delivery dates, assist in the planning and implementation of fundraising campaigns, events and activities to cultivate charitable giving to the College, and to manage a portfolio of prospects utilizing “Moves Management” to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward current and prospective major gift and estate donors, as well as other duties as necessary to advance the College’s mission and goals.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, Master’s Degree preferred, along with experience in relationship-based work such as sales or marketing with an understanding of philanthropy. In addition, the successful candidate should be highly collaborative in approach, demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills necessary for building relationships with various college constituents, both internal and external. Qualified applicants must have a professional background of meeting established goals and objectives in a timely manner related to the areas of sales, marketing or fundraising. HOUSEKEEPER/CUSTODIAN

Culver-Stockton College has an immediate opening for a full time Housekeeper/Custodian. One of Culver-Stockton College’s main goals is to provide a clean, sanitary and safe environment where the College community can learn, teach, work and visit. The Housekeeper/Custodian plays an integral part in reaching this goal. This position is one of trust and importance in securing a satisfactory environment of the College campus.

The Housekeeper has the responsibility of maintaining the cleanliness of the internal and external campus. Housekeeping services that may be performed include cleaning, mopping, scrubbing, sanitizing the floors and other surfaces as well as the refinishing, waxing and polishing of floors, tile work and other various floor and wall surfaces in stairways, hallways, restrooms, offices, laboratories, recreation and locker rooms. 

The candidate must also be prepared for physically demanding activities and be able to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs frequently, and to lift and carry weights of up to 75 pounds. Excellent teamwork and people skills are critical due to frequent contact and interaction with faculty, staff, and students.
