ADJUNCT FACULTY OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE

The full-time, 12-month position of Admission Counselor is responsible for recruiting students and guiding them through the college selection process. ASSISTANT SOFTBALL COACH

Culver-Stockton College is accepting applications for a part-time Assistant Softball Coach. C-SC offers experiential learning with a 12-week + 3-week academic calendar which provides an innovative four-year program of studies and experiences that prepares students for career success like no other college or university in the nation. C-SC fields 19 NAIA sports which compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC).

In accordance with all NAIA, Heart of America Athletic Conference and Culver-Stockton College policies and procedures, the position of Assistant Softball Coach reports to the Head Softball Coach and is responsible for assisting in administering the entire operation of the program including (but not limited to) the recruitment of student-athletes, practice and contest planning, participate in player skill development and other duties assigned by the Head Coach.

Candidates should have success coaching or playing softball, preferably at the collegiate level or high school level, the ability to recruit and motivate student-athletes, a strong commitment to academic success as well as compliance with NAIA, Heart of America and institutional policies and procedures. Bachelor’s Degree required.

CAMPUS SAFETY OFFICER

Culver-Stockton College has an immediate opening for a full time Campus Safety Officer. This is a 12-month position that will have responsibilities in both security and physical plant. Work hours for this position will vary and include shifts on days, nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide 24 hour coverage as needed. During the academic year primary responsibilities will include security work such as securing and opening buildings, conducting investigations, report writing, issuing tickets for policy violations, safety checks, patrols and other assigned duties related to basic maintenance tasks. During the summer months responsibilities will include working with the physical plant on tasks such as mowing, basic landscaping work, trash removal, painting and assisting other physical plant staff with projects.

The candidate must be prepared for physically demanding activities and must be able to spend long periods of time on their feet and traverse all types of terrain in all types of weather. Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs frequently and to lift and carry weights of up to 75 pounds. Excellent teamwork and people skills are critical due to frequent contact and interaction with faculty, staff and students. A current driver’s license is required along with computer experience and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Must have a strong ability to communicate effectively by radio or telephone in stressful conditions and prior safety/security experience a plus but is not required.

CAT’S PAUSE MANAGER

Culver-Stockton College is accepting applications for a full-time Cat’s Pause Manager. The Cat’s Pause Manager is responsible for meal preparation, overseeing all Cat’s Pause student workers, and assisting in other areas of the dining services areas as needed. Management responsibilities may include hiring and disciplining student workers, training CP staff, scheduling student workers, and maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.

Qualified candidates must possess a high-school diploma or GED and must have previous experience in a kitchen or related position, experience in college dining services preferred. Must be able to obtain Serve Safe Certification or local Health Department requirements. Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Must have the ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weigh measurement, volume and distance. Must be willing and able to work nights and weekends.

DANCE COORDINATOR

In Accordance with all NAIA, and Culver-Stockton College policies and procedures, the position of Dance Coordinator reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the entire operation of the dance program, including, but not limited to, the recruitment of student-athletes, contest scheduling, practice and contest planning, skill development, academic monitoring and office/budget management. 

Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree or significant experience in dance. Qualified candidates will have experience as a successful collegiate participant in dance, preferably experience coaching at the collegiate level, and have the ability to recruit and motivate student-athletes. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a strong commitment to academic success and compliance with NAIA and institutional policies and procedures.

HOUSEKEEPER/CUSTODIAN

Culver-Stockton College has an immediate opening for a full time Housekeeper/Custodian that will work Tuesday through Saturday. One of Culver-Stockton College’s main goals is to provide a clean, sanitary and safe environment where the College community can learn, teach, work and visit. The Housekeeper/Custodian plays an integral part in reaching this goal. This position is one of trust and importance in securing a satisfactory environment of the College campus.

The Housekeeper has the responsibility of maintaining the cleanliness of the internal and external campus. Housekeeping services that may be performed include cleaning, mopping, scrubbing, sanitizing the floors and other surfaces as well as the refinishing, waxing and polishing of floors, tile work and other various floor and wall surfaces in stairways, hallways, restrooms, offices, laboratories, recreation and locker rooms.

STUDENT LIFE SPECIALIST

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Student Life Specialist. This full-time, 12 month position is a critical member of the Student Life team and provides skilled office management, support and organization in the day-to-day functions for the Dean of Student Life and staff in the Office of Student Life. The Student Life Specialist will oversee the development, training and administration of the student worker program in the mailroom, shuttle services and the student life office. Other responsibilities will include serving as a Resident Director, directly supervising the facility management of various places on campus through the internal software programs and will work with student engagement in making sure policies and procedures are upheld for the college event. The Student Life Specialist supports students in their leadership development and thus serves as the front-line for most inquiries and issues. The close-working relationship between and among Culver-Stockton College students, Student Life staff, faculty and administrators promotes a work environment in which students are mentored, challenged and offered a broad spectrum of experiences. 

The Student Life Specialist is required to live on campus and serve as a Resident Director in which they play a key role in ensuring a living learning environment conducive to the personal development for approximately 750-800 students living on campus in coeducational residence halls. As a Resident Director the Student Life Specialist will work with a team which includes the other Resident Directors, the Director of Residence Life and student staff members (Resident Assistants) in order to accomplish this goal in a variety of avenues. These avenues include, but are not limited to, staff training, crisis management, programming and being visible on campus and in the residence halls.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Education or related field is required, along with one-three years of relevant formal training or work experience. Must have the ability to live on campus and to work on nights/weekends (on a rotational schedule) and must be experienced in working with diverse populations and coordinating multiple projects at a time. Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).
