Fast Facts:

  • Students can complete a bachelor of science in biology or biological chemistry or earn the Unified Science Teaching Certificate.
  • Students have the opportunity to visit the Reis Biological Station, which consists of 225 acres of upland oak-hickory forest in the eastern Ozark Mountains of Missouri.
  • The Science Center houses an astronomy observation deck, computer labs, a state-of-the-art DNA sequencer and binocular compound microscopes for student research and teaching experience.
  • Pre-professional training is provided to enter a career immediately upon graduation, in fields like government, teaching, industrial laboratory work, conservation and agriculture.
  • Pre-professional advising in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physical therapy and occupational therapy provided.
